Jeep Rentals for OBX RV Travelers
RV travelers have the best basecamp on the Outer Banks and, often, the worst beach vehicle. The motorhome isn’t going on the sand, and the tow car or dinghy behind it usually isn’t a 4x4. That’s the gap we fill: keep your rig parked at the campground and take a beach-ready 4x4 for the days you want the parts of the OBX that pavement doesn’t reach.
Why It Works for RVers
- Rent by the day, not the week, if that’s all you need — $300 for one day, $225 per day for two, $200 per day for three to six, $1,338 flat for the week
- Both beach driving permits — Corolla and the Cape Hatteras ORV permit — already on the vehicle
- Recovery gear included, so the sand is an adventure rather than a risk
- Dogs of all sizes ride free — bring the camp dog
- Coolers, beach chairs, and fishing rod racks available for the day
- Debit card renters accepted
Where to Take It
North to Corolla and Carova, where the wild horses live and the beach is the road, or south through the Cape Hatteras National Seashore to Ocracoke — prime surf-fishing country, and the Gladiator’s bed carries the rods and coolers. First time on sand? The beach driving tips cover the routine.
