8-Passenger 4x4 SUV Rentals on the Outer Banks
This is the page for crews too big for a Jeep. Our Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX80 SUVs are full-size, three-row 4x4s that seat up to eight — one driver, the whole family, everyone on the beach together instead of split across two cars. Both permits and recovery gear are already on the vehicle.
The Two Models
The Nissan Armada and the Infiniti QX80 are close cousins — full-size SUVs with three rows of seats and real cargo room behind the third row. The Armada runs 35-inch tires, which carry it well on soft sand. Either one takes eight passengers plus the beach gear, which is the whole point.
One Vehicle Instead of Two
Most rental fleets top out at five seats, which forces bigger families into a two-car convoy — two drivers paying attention to sand instead of one, two vehicles to air down, two parking spots on the beach. Eight seats solves that. Grandparents, kids, coolers, and the dog all ride together, and one experienced driver handles the sand while everyone else watches for horses out the window.
Groups and Multiple Vehicles
For groups bigger than eight — multi-family beach weeks, wedding parties, fishing crews — we set up combinations: an SUV plus a Wrangler, two SUVs, an SUV and a Gladiator for the gear. The weekly rate is a flat $1,338 for any vehicle in the fleet, so the math stays simple no matter how you combine them. Tell us your dates and your headcount and we’ll sort the fleet to fit.

Rates
Same pricing as the whole fleet: $300 for one day, $225 per day for two days, $200 per day for three to six days, and a flat $1,338 for the week. Full details on the rental prices page.
Where to Take Eight People and a 4x4
North to Corolla and Carova for the wild horses and the sand-road communities, or south through the Cape Hatteras National Seashore toward Ocracoke.
